What Conditions Are Treated With Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a "cure-all" treatment, it is very effective in treating several diseases and conditions. Acupuncture is most effective at treating chronic pain, such as headaches; menstrual cramps, facial pain, and low back, neck, or muscle pain. It can also be used to treat arthritis, facial pain, TMJ, pain from shingles, and spastic colon and colitis conditions. Acupuncture has also been successful in treating obesity and addictions such as nicotine or drugs. Acupuncture also can improve the functioning of the immune system, the body's defense system against diseases.
Acupuncture can be relied on for treatments of chronic, serious illness, or facial pain. Acupuncture may be the only way to improve your condition. Your health-care provider may recommend acupuncture facial pain treatments along with other treatment methods such as chiropractic physical therapy or herbal medication. For certain conditions, such as cancer, acupuncture should only be performed in combination with other treatments.
Dr. Glenn Marr has been treating patients for acupuncture facial pains and many other problems for more than fifteen years. He can communicate with you about your problem and then explain exactly what the Acupuncture therapy will consist of. There are 3 types of Acupuncture therapy that Dr. Marr uses; disposable needle Acupuncture, heat Acupuncture, and electric Acupunture. Most patients say that they do not feel most of the needles. This is true, as the needles are very small in diameter, about the size of a piece of hair. Even if you do not want needles at all, you can be treated with the heat or electric Acupuncture. The heat acupuncture is very soothing and relaxing and can be used for most problems especially sinus problems. The electric acupuncture is barely felt at all by almost all patients, and can be used for all types of Acupuncture therapy including acupuncture facial pain.
